OKINAWA
Born June 8, 2011, 13 years old. Lives in Okinawa. With parents who work as musicians and photographers, he has been exposed to music and art since birth. He has always lived in an environment with music, and he has a particular admiration for Bruno Mars. He started practicing bass by himself at the age of 6. He started dance lessons at a dance school at the age of 8. He has been learning ukulele and guitar since the age of 11, and drums since the age of 12 from his parents' fellow musicians, and is learning at an incredible speed. He passed the first audition held by Okinawa Actors School, which restarted in 2023, in April of the same year with an overwhelming presence. In February 2024, he performed at JAPAN EXPO in Thailand, and his singing ability amazed the local audience. He will make his major debut on August 7, 2024 with his 1st digital single "Somedey"! At the debut convention held on the day, he surprised the audience by performing his debut song "Someday" and his 2nd digital single "Won't You Stay". He also covered "Ai wo Tsutaetai Datoka/Aimyon", "Thinking Out Loud/Ed Sheeran", and "Runaway Baby/Bruno Mars" with a dancer, demonstrating his full potential from gentle ballads to up-tempo songs, dance skills, and instrumental playing. Neil has been attracting attention for his singing voice and performance that is hard to believe he is only 13 years old. He was introduced as a new artist to watch on CDTV and appeared on the first broadcast of NHK's new program "JOYNT POPS"! In November, he also appeared on J-WAVE presents INSPIRE TOKYO 2024 WINTER. Anna Makino, producer of Okinawa Actors School, also praises Neil as "a unique and talented person". The multi-talented Neil is not only a man who will carry the future of the J-POP world on his shoulders, but is also a rare gem who has the potential to seriously compete at the world's music festival and even win a Grammy Award.
